When it comes to weight lifting, the arm is the link between a dumbbell and the muscle group.
Its correct positioning can make the difference between a constructive and a hazardous workout.

Prior to the launch of Graps®, product testing took place on 2 individual 20-person groups (female and male, 10 amateurs and 10 fitness professionals). Both groups performed the same exercise (biceps curl) with and without Graps® for an 8-day period (for 4 days each).
In order to achieve the most accurate results, one group used it during the first session and the other during the second one. In both groups an electromyograph was used to monitor forearm flexor performance and participation in the exercise

All of the participants had better control of the dumbbells while using Graps® and 80% of them managed to perform extra repetitions at a given time due to this better control but also to the extra energy that was not consumed by forearms’ flexors.
The research was done at the Laboratory of Neuromechanics in School of Physical Education & Sport Science, Serres, Greece.

Why do you think the seesaw does not balance even though the weight is the same on both sides?
Of course, because distance 2 is bigger than distance 1!
The torque on one side is bigger than the other side due to the bigger lever arm, resulting in seesaw’s instability. This is exactly what happens to our wrist when the weight of the dumbbell on one side is further than the weight of the opposite side, because of the dumbbell slipping.
